Applying the preparation I learned at the track to the bikes I built for the street, I developed a level of integrity that I hold dear to this date. If the shit does not fly on the track, it will not fly on the street. Meaning: the rider's safety comes first! You cannot afford to have a failure when going 150 miles per hour; that just doesn't fly!
I started racing everything on two wheels...... I raced the desert, motocross and drag racing. As time went on with no sponsors, I knew I had to race what I knew and that was Harleys. I got a Sportster and went on the A.M.A national circuit. I went to a Hollywood Hills party. At that party I met a guy named Rick James. You know him - "Super Freak" - and acquired a sponsor, a clothing line called Weavers, and a great man named Mark Ciuwinski owned it. He paid me to live out a dream and I went on to race at Daytona in 1993.
DR CARL'S HOG HOSPITAL was located on Venice Blvd, 5050 Los Angeles CA to be exact, and I ran the shop there until late 1997 when I moved to South Park Colorado (Yes there is such a place) to live the easy life in the mountains. However, the easy life had a big price - poverty. It rained every day so I thought I would make it back to New York, and open a shop on Long Island.
After returning to New York, I started NEW YORK MOTOR COMPANY. I sorted out knowledge in forms of proper machine shop skills as well as welding and fabrication. In 2006, I refinanced my home and purchased a Dyno Jet 250 Motorcycle Dyno. I employed a Dyno Tuner named Doug Lofgren to teach me the real/proper way to use my Dyno, and since, have Mastered the art of fine tuning.
Tired of the New York rat race and the fact that Dirt Biking is illegal in New York, I decided to move down south to North Carolina to spend the rest of my days.
Randleman is where I landed and I'm here to stay!!
